The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the Jund al-Aqsa group had captured the fighters and shot them to death in the town of Khan Sheikhun on Monday.
"Al-Qaeda has never changed, and it still sees itself in what it conceives as an existential struggle against the West and against the United States in particular," a security expert said.
The attack targeted a sports and culture club in the Huthi-controlled town of Radaa, he said, in the central province of Baida where Al-Qaeda fighters are present.
It was not immediately clear who carried out the raids.
The Pentagon said a US strike has killed more than 100 Al-Qaeda fighters at a training camp in northwestern Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said it could not immediately specify who carried out the strikes.
