Students from Kerala refuse admissions in government hostels

Students denied hostels because of backward caste.

Hundreds of students from SC/ST and backward communities are refused admission in government run hostels in Mangalore as they hail from Kasargod district in Kerala state.

Mangaluru MLA J R Lobo has written to Social Welfare Minister Anjaneya on issuing directions to officials on considering such students as ``Gadinadu Kannadigas'' and admit them in hostels.
