BAGALKOT: A 26-year-old old engineer from Karnataka, Manjunath Choori, is feared missing from Hamburg city in Germany since Sunday afternoon. He has not contacted his family in Bagalkot district of North Karnataka in three days. The worried family is requesting for the intervention of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to trace their son back.
Choori is pursuing his Masters in Hamburg. His apartment has been locked since Sunday afternoon. Choori’s friend Anil Deshpande who lives in Hamburg has lodged a complaint with Hamburg Police abot his friend going missing. The family in Bagalkot was informed.
Choori’s family said they have approached Bagalkot MP, P C Gaddigoudar, to expedite the search process with the help of the MEA. “We believe in god. We hope that god will help us by bringing back our brother safely,” said Kavita, elder sister of Choori.
Choori is a native of Simikeri village, located about 14 km from Bagalkot, and had last visited his home in November when his father passed away. His family members said he was depressed about his father’s death, but he never stopped calling his mother or his two elder sisters. “Since Sunday afternoon, however, we did not receive any call.
