 Co-passengers in a shared cab harass woman, assault cab driver

Woman passenger harassed by co-passengers, driver beaten up when tried to intervene.

A woman who booked cab using a cab, Uber pool was allegedly sexually harassed by her drunk male co-passengers.

According to a complaint lodged by the cab driver and the woman, the incident took place on July 4th when the woman had booked the cab from MG Road at 11.30 to reach home in north Bangalore. The cab driver, who questioned the act was beaten up by the accused who escaped after woman called police control room.

Police personnel who rushed to the spot admitted the driver to a nearby hospital and FIR was filed at Vidyaranyapura police station.

Even five days after the incident, police are yet to arrest the accused.
