Monish takes 6-26 to help Globe Trotters defeat CromBest by big margin 

The bowler helped by Washington Sundar made the senior division team win comfortably by an innings and 45 runs

CHENNAI: Monish Satish’s 6 for 26 enabled Globe Trotters to defeat CromBest by an innings and 45 runs, with a day to spare, in a second round match of the TNCA senior division league at Pachaiyappa’s College grounds on Sunday.

Monish was ably supported by Washington Sundar who picked up four for 46. The team used only two spinners as the pitch was turning square. Earlier, Trotters managed 251 on the challenging surface, thanks to a hard-hitting century by S Aniruda. At Chepauk, unbeaten double centuries by Ankeet Bawane (206 no) and M Shahrukh Khan (204 no) helped Jolly Rovers declare at 505/4 against UFCC (T Nagar). The two 412 runs for the unbroken fifth wicket stand. UFCC (T Nagar) were reeling at 122/6.
