Woman, daughter killed in Madhya Pradesh car accident

The woman's husband who was driving the car lost control over the wheels following which the vehicle hit the railings of a culvert on Denwa river near Pandhra village.

Betul: A woman and her minor daughter were killed when their car met with an accident on Ghodadongri-Sarni road here, a police official said today.

The woman's husband was seriously injured in the mishap.

Sandeep Raghuvanshi (30), who works with a government firm, his wife Puja (26) and their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Lavanya were travelling in the car last evening.

However, Sandeep, who was driving the car, suddenly lost control over the wheels following which the vehicle hit the railings of a culvert on Denwa river near Pandhra village, about 40 kms from here, Ghodadongri police post in-charge Priti Patil said.

The three seriously injured persons were rushed to a hospital in Ghodadongri where the woman and the child were declared dead, she said.

Sandeep has been referred to another hospital in Betul.

A case has been registered in connection with the mishap, Patil said.
