Explosives found under seat of Samajwadi Party MLA inside UP Assembly 

The routine security checks in the House had failed to detect the explosive but CM Yogi Adityanath has held an emergency meeting and ordered a probe.

LUCKNOW: In a major security lapse, 160 gm of explosive Pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN) was found stacked under the seat of an MLA inside the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. 

Sources said, the explosive was found under the seat Samajwadi Party MLA Manoj Pandey. 

Notably, the routine security checks in the House had failed to detect the explosive.  

PETN has been used by terrorists in triggering blasts.

Taking cognizance of the incident, CM Yogi Adityanath has convened an emergency meeting of senior administrative and police officers and a probe has been ordered.
