The much-anticipated Baahubali 2: The Conclusion trailer has garnered more than 50 million views across four languages. With this, it becomes the most-viewed Indian film trailer. The two-minute 20-second trailer gives us a quick recap of what happened in the part 1 and introduces Amarendra Baahubali (played by Prabhas) who swears to even give up his life for the people of his kingdom.
We also see a few shots of Anushka and Prabhas romance. The face-off between Rana and Prabhas on the battlefield is the highlight and assures viewers of smorgasbord action in the film. Celebrities can’t stop gushing about the trailer! Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who is releasing the Hindi version, wrote on Twitter, “Truly the biggest trailer ever. 50 million views.”
Directed by SS Rajamouli, the second part will throw light on the most popular question – Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?
The film has Rana Daggubati, Prabhas, Tamannaah, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. Rajamouli, along with actors Prabhas and Rana, held a press meet in the city before releasing the Hindi version of the trailer in Mumbai. The director confirmed that despite tweaking a few things to make the film look visually rich, the writers have not compromised with the basic premise.
Reports suggest that Baahubali 2 has raked in `500 crore globally through its satellite and distribution rights before the release. Apparently, on social media, there are comparisons between “the grandeur of Rajini-starrer 2.o and Baahubali 2”. While the latter is touted to be made on a budget of over `250 crore, Shankar has taken 2.0 to the next level by making it on a budget of `350 crore — thus being the costliest ever film.
