Oru Mexican Aparatha is quite the buzz in the Malayalam industry, but the director credits the quirky title of the movie to director Jude Antony  Joseph, from whom he bought the story line.

“I worked on the film for the past four years with Jude. He was planning  another movie with the title ‘Oru Mexican Aparatha’. During our round of discussions, he told me about the title. We agreed that the title was apt  for my movie, which is why I bought it from him,” says Tom.

The director, who is basking in the success of the film, added that he is  not finished with campus politics stories. “Campus politics is always in my heartand when I was doing this movie, I felt that I was going back to my  degree years. I hear that the movie has created nostalgia to many viewers, especially the older generation. It makes me extremely happy, which is yet another reason why Oru Mexican Aparatha is not going to be my last film on campus politics,” he says. Speaking about the extensive marketing strategy used for the promotion of the film, Tom Ematty says the team had originally targeted social media  users.

“Our primary focus was on marketing the film through Youtube and Facebook because we were well aware of the popularity it would generate,” says Tom.
“However, I had never anticipated that it would reach such a milestone. I am glad that it had appealed to both the young and the old. Even parents call  me up and sayt their children are inspired,” he says.
Tom Ematty is confident that the movie will work wonders for Tovino. “ He  has given his career best for the movie. I am sure the success of this film has set his career,” he adds.
