After a hiatus of over four years, Lakshmi Sarma is making a comeback to Mollywood. She will be seen playing the lead in Stethoscope, a movie  directed by Suresh.

“Yes, it is kind of a comeback, that too in a meaty role. I play the character of a doctor Bhagyalakshmi, who is very committed and honest. It is a great experience to be facing the camera again. The industry has changed a lot and I can feel it,” says the actor.

Lakshmi Sarma, who was last seen in ‘Ayal’ opposite Lal, says the break from acting has made her take acting very
seriously.
“I wasn’t every serious about work. I think that’s one reason why I couldnt  make it big,” says the actor who says however it was not the dearth of offers that caused the sabbatical.

“Many offers were coming my way. My father was unwell and I wanted to be  with him to take good care of him. Then I had an injury in my ligamanent for  which I had to undergo a surgery. I lost almost one year recovering from it,” she says.
Her movie Stethoscope has Risabava and Meghanathan in prominent roles.
