Nikhil Kumar, who made his debut with bilingual Jaguar, has not signed on any new project because he insists on working only with the best. In fact, the actor had decided to work with the younger lot of Kannada directors, which he had even shared with City Express in the last interview. In line with that, he has expressed interest in working with directors S Krishna, A Harsha and Chethan Kumar, and have even held few rounds of discussions with all three.
Now, we hear, Nikhil is likely to decide on Chethan’s script and, if everything goes according to plans, work on the film will take off from May. Though we don’t have an official confirmation from Nikhil or director Chetan’s end, according to our source, Nikhil and his father HD Kumaraswamy have liked the subject
and are in the process of locking on the script. The film will be a mass entertainer with a relevant social
“Nikhil has been offered some scripts from Telugu directors,” says our source. “Meanwhile, directors such as Chetan and Harsha came up with fantastic stories that suit Nikhil. Right now, father and son have found Chetan’s script most impressive and the team is working around it. Nikhil will then follow it
with Harsha’s project. The two have decided not to talk about the movie till all the decisions have been made,” our source says. We now have to wait and watch for Nikhil’s next step.
