Kanakadurga temple flyover

By Express News Service

VIJAYAWADA: Members of Amaravati Abhivrudhi Sangam (AAS) staged a protest in the city on Sunday demanding the State government to complete Kanakadurga flyover works on a war footing and initiate measures to take up Benz circle flyover works.

Addressing the gathering, former MLA K Subba Raju alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had utterly failed in completing Kanaka Durga flyover which will ease the traffic congestion in the city.

He wondered why Naidu was not initiating any action against construction firm ‘SOMA’, which has failed in completing the works within the stipulated time. At least now, the government should put pressure on the construction firm to complete the flyover works by October, he demanded.

Subbaraju also appealed the State government to take up Benz circle flyover works at the earliest to ease traffic congestion in the city.

The project is still under survey stage and the government should fix a time frame for the project, he said.
