
CBI allegation dismissed
Malappuram-based Makkaparamba Service Cooperative Bank, which is facing CBI inquiry for allegedly exchanging demonetised currency notes through customers’ accounts has dismissed the charges.

KOCHI: Malappuram-based Makkaparamba Service Cooperative Bank, which is facing CBI inquiry for allegedly exchanging demonetised currency notes through customers’ accounts has dismissed the charges.
According to the management, all the accounts were opened by adhering to ‘Know Your Customer’ norms stipulated by the RBI. “Post-demonetisation, old currencies worth `8.71 crore was collected from 2,652 account holders at six branches.
