BENGALURU:Communities require strong civic leaders who can rise above the status quo and initiate changes that benefit all. However, many passionatly civic-minded people have not been able to realize their potential as leaders because of unhealthy competition and the lack of guidance.
Worry not! A graduation programme started by a city organization helps you enhance your leadership abilities and make you a more effective civic worker.
The B.PAC Civic Leadership Incubator Programme (B.CLIP) is the flagship programme of B.PAC (Bangalore Political Action Committee) to encourage passionate and concerned citizens enter public service and create a new cadre of civic leaders.
They will be trained to start grassroot-level projects, which can be scaled up for transformative change through good governance.
Students say they have learnt to think bigger, beyond their immediate neighbourhood and politics.
“We are here to give a push towards critical thinking,” says Revathy Ashok, CEO and Managing Trustee of B.PAC.
