BENGALURU:Pehechano the person entering your house with the app Pehechano. Developed more six months ago, the app helps you identify the person who is applying for a job at your organisation or entering your house.

The founder of the app Mohan Kumar B says, “It is a community social safety platform. It is easy for a someone to impersonate and commit crimes. Such incidents are on rise. So, if a person, say a plumber or an electrician visiting your house, is registered with Pehechano, you can check for his authenticity with the details on this app.” The registered employee with a company will have a Pehechano ID with a QR code. “If the employee disappears one day, the employer can flag him off on the app. So, when he approaches another employer for a job or visits your place, you will see that the person has got negative feedback from the earlier employer,” says Mohan.

All you need to do is download the app on your phone. When the person enters your house, ask for his Pehechano Id and with QR code, you can check his details and match with the details you get on sms. Mohan adds that it works even as a collaboration between different sectors, “If a person is changing his profession, say from an electrician to security guard, you can verify the details on the app.” The app produces all the six government IDs, that are generally used for verifications, on a single platform.

Reference Check
Mohan explains, “When a person goes for a job, he has to submit his IDs for verification and give a thumb print. These details are then uploaded online on the app. So, once this person approaches an employer, he can check the details on the app and verify the details, he produces.”
Won’t this be a breach of privacy? “There are no problem as he is producing all the details himself when is getting employed,” he says. Mohan has tied up with 20 companies and the app has won ISBA award last year.
